Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th June will provide an opportunity for communities and people throughout the United Kingdom to come together to celebrate this historic milestone.

The Parish Council is taking part in the National Beacon Lighting on Thursday 2nd June at 9.45pm at the Water Tower, A628 Castlesyke Hill.
Other events being organised by the Parish Council include:
Best Dressed House Competition—Decorate your garden \ house exterior to celebrate the jubilee. There will be a prize for the winner.
A seed bomb for every primary school aged child in the village. Seed bombs are small capsules filled with nectar rich wildflower seeds.
Plant a Tree for the Jubilee - Each school in the village will be offered a tree to plant. Once planted the trees can be added to the Queen’s Green Canopy Map.
Children are invited to submit Jubliee themed art work to the Parish council office for display at Carr Bridge Pavilion.
On Sunday 5 June people are encourage to take part in the Big Jubilee Lunch. People are encouraged to organise street parties, share connections and get to know each other a little bit better. Coming together in the spirit of fun and friendship.
